Darlings, the pages may turn with glee and whimsy, but Roald Dahl's tale is twisted like a brightly colored candy cane.
Ah, Roald Dahl, the enchanting bard of childlike curiosities, spinning stories of enchantment and terror alike. From golden tickets to the sinister allure of witches, his pen danced between light and shadow, casting spells of joy and malice. Yet, beneath the fanciful veneer lay a twisted tormentor, missteps casting long shadows over wondrous worlds.
Even his beloved perhaps rightfully coined him "Roald the Rotten," for his dark wit often veered into realms less savory. And so, another chapter unfolds, dear listener: a man whose charms vanished into dust beneath the weight of his own tales.
