Bloody Betrothals: Emperor Claudius and Valentine's Sacrifice
Show Notes
Oh, cursed hearts and distant desires — let the tale of Emperor Claudius enchant your Valentine’s Eve.
Once upon Rome’s illustrious time, dear Claudius donned an emperor's crown and decreed, 'Love is forbidden!' A fiendish edict that forever altered destiny’s gentle tapestry. But lo! Saint Valentine dared defy draconian decrees in a valorous bid for the hearts of compatriots yearning for eternal union.
The emperor, incensed, unleashed his wrath, summoning the saint to love’s oblivion whilst he reveled in power's cruel warmth. Thus was born the bittersweet day in February, laden with love unrequited and justice denied.
