Paul Durousseau stands among Jacksonville's most notorious figures, with his path of destruction etched in chilling detail.

On a humid day in 1997, Tracy Habersham's death introduced a chilling saga, her strangled body found near Fort Benning. This marked the start of a six-year killing spree that haunted the Southeast.

The investigation, wrestling with evidentiary and logistic challenges, unearthed disturbing patterns through victim statements and forensic clues that threaded each murder together.

The trials struggled to fully represent the loss inflicted by Durousseau’s actions, though his eventual sentence aimed to echo the cries for justice from victims' families.
